Easy DIY Vanilla Lip Scrub

Sugar isn't always bad...especially when you put it on your lips!

I'm sure you've heard of, and used, body scrubs that exfoliate the dead skin from your body and leave your skin soft, glowing and smooth (our range of Less Mess Body Scrubs are perfect for this). Have you experienced lips so dry that when you attempt to put on lipstick, you're left with a patchy, uneven application? Did you know that your lips also can benefit from a light and gentle exfoliation? This DIY lip scrub will leave your lips soft, kissable and uses only 4 ingredients that you most likely already have in your panty!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of fine sugar (caster or white)
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 3 drops of vanilla extract

Optional:

  • food colouring of your choice

Mix all of your ingredients together and store in an airtight container. To use, simply take a small amount on your finger and rub in circular motion on your lips. You'll be left with smooth flake-free lips in no time! Fun fact: everything in this scrub is safe to eat, so feel free to lick those lips after, or wash off with warm water.
